DAL Deutsche Afrika Linien GmbH & Co. KG
Your Liner Service between Canary Islands, Southern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands.
DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien, one of the most highly respected operators in the trade between Europe and Southern Africa, combines traditional values with modern thinking. Since the containerization of the trade in 1977, as a founder member of the South Africa Europe Container Service ( SAECS ), the DAL funnel colours and flag have provided tradition and continuity to the service.
For more than a quarter century DAL and its partners have been serving Southern Africa on a 7-day-named-day schedule. The Indian Ocean Islands are also served on a frequent basis. Our customers can rely on the African knowledge we have gained in the past with this Continent. For easy access we offer a network of booking agents both in Europe and Africa and the latest IT-technology including container tracking and tracing systems via the internet. With personal advice over the phone or a visit to the customer, the staff of Deutsche Afrika-Linien are able to offer a service that has become uncommon in times dominated by computers. We will never forget that we deal with human beings.
As a middle size shipping company our activities follow proven guidelines: Our strength in the traditonal field of operations is the know-how acquired over decades, added by great flexibility. On contrast to most international mega-carriers we are still able to offer truly personalized advice and service even to the smallest customer. We can rely on the competence of our staff.
Shipping is a challenge under extreme temperature conditions. Our container vessels are equipped for the carriage of refrigerated containers through the tropical regions of Africa. Our chemical tankers are prepared to transport bulk liquids throughout the polar circle because they are fitted with heating coils. Deutsche Afrika-Linien was among the first lines serving the African continent.
